The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is an independent constitutional body in India that is responsible for conducting recruitment examinations and selecting candidates for various prestigious positions in the Indian Civil Services. It was established on October 1, 1926, and its headquarters is located in New Delhi.
The UPSC conducts examinations for various civil services and posts, including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and other central services. These exams are considered highly competitive and are known as the Civil Services Examination (CSE).
